Judge Sara Smolenski rallying golfers and friends for Fund-a-Need
Clark Foundation teed off its 4th Annual Golf FORE Clark outing on Monday, August 24 with a hole-in-one! The weather was sunny and warm at Kent Country Club where golfers enjoyed a great round, fun games, outdoor dinner, and a lively auction. This year’s field of 112 players included friends, vendors, and staff who golfed for our mission to provide Benevolent Care and Music Therapy.
WOW! – is all we can say as Judge Sara Smolenski worked her magic during our auction and Fund-a-Need. She had the group bidding and cheering on fabulous experiences including a weekend at the exclusive Kinne Creek hunting and fishing lodge in northern Michigan, a trip to the legendary Pebble Beach golf links for the AT&T Pro-Am, and our priceless 5-Star Executive Chef dinners. This year, there were eight winners of these unbelievable dining experiences featuring Chefs James Bailey, Ed Werner and our own Sous Chef, Brian Pangle! These showcase dinners are held in private homes with one of them being a special dinner for residents in the Clark Keller Center.
To top it all off, Rev. Joe Huston and Judge Sara made poignant appeals to support the restoration and beautification of the Community Room patio, an outdoor area where residents and families gather for visits. Our remarkable golfers and guests responded with over $21,000 of generous gifts to help create a beautiful, safe, homelike environment.
