COVID-19 Update: May 2, 2020

May 2, 2020 – 10:00 a.m.

Dear Clark Residents and Families:

We were notified yesterday an employee from Clark Windsor Manor tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was not symptomatic while at work, the symptoms were detected while self-monitoring at home as outlined in our staff protocols. The employee will not return to work until they are cleared to do so by their physician and our Medical Director, Dr. Jim Passinault.

We are following the guidelines of the CDC, and counsel from Dr. Jim Passinault, and Dr. Elizabeth Neubig to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.  In many ways our protocols exceed CDC recommendations.

  • Beginning yesterday, all residents at Windsor Manor are in quarantine for 14-days.
  • Windsor Manor resident temperatures and vital signs are checked three times daily to monitor for symptoms
  • As recommended by the CDC and Dr. Passinault, we will test residents if they exhibit symptoms of COVID-19
  • Our staff follow infection control preventive practices including wearing masks, proper and frequent hand washing, twice daily self-monitoring including temperature checks, and 6 feet distancing

We will stay in contact with the employee and will keep Clark residents, families, and staff as informed as possible, understanding we will always respect individual privacy and confidentiality.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support. If you have any questions, please email info@clarkretirement.org.
