Caring for a loved one with dementia comes with challenges that are difficult to fully grasp—until you experience them yourself. Dementia deeply affects how individuals process the world around them. Sounds become disorienting, once-familiar objects feel foreign, and everyday tasks become overwhelming. That is why Clark is proud to host an event for caregivers that immerses them into what it is like to live with memory loss. This unique event offers a 4-5 minute dementia simulation that puts you in the shoes of someone experiencing memory loss. Led by experts in dementia care, this event will help families gain insight, build empathy, and feel more confident in their caregiving journey.
Developed by the AGE-u-cate Training Institute, the Dementia Live® Simulation is a powerful hands-on experience that mimics the sensory and cognitive challenges of dementia. Here’s what attendees can expect:
This event is free and open to the public, welcoming spouses, adult children, and family caregivers seeking a deeper understanding of their loved one’s reality.
