The scheduler / coordinator performs a variety of clerical duties. They will oversee and manage the daily schedules of clinical employees on three shifts, along with managing approval of timesheets and time-off requests. They will serve as a resource and advocate for the residents, families, and employees.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily schedule of clinical employees on three shifts, approve timesheets, and manage time off requests to ensure adequate staffing in Assisted Living clinical areas
  • Prepare, review, approve, and post employees’ schedules. Communicate with staff about scheduling.
  • Communicate with agencies to bring in temporary staff as needed
  • Participate in the interview process to greet new hires and create training schedules
  • Schedule resident appointments, transportation, and care staff assistance as necessary
  • Assist medical providers during rounds
  • Assist care staff employees on the floor as needed, particularly with meal assistance and life enrichment activities
  • Provides clerical, administrative, and system coordination
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • 2+ years of scheduling experience required, preferably in a clinical setting
  • Experience working with the elderly population, especially in a long-term care (assisted living or skilled nursing) environment, is preferred. CNA or resident aide experience is helpful.
  • High school diploma or GED required
