At Clark, our Equine Therapy program offers residents in Memory Care a unique and enriching experience. Through interaction with gentle, well-trained horses, residents engage in activities that stimulate their senses, encourage reminiscence, and provide both fine and gross motor exercise. This therapy fosters a heart-to-heart connection, allowing residents to communicate and bond with the animals in a non-judgmental environment.
Animals serve as wonderful companions, especially for those with dementia or other cognitive and physical disabilities. The presence of horses provides a comforting and loving connection, promoting emotional well-being and enhancing the overall quality of life for our Memory Care residents. At Clark, we believe in the power of these connections to bring joy and peace to those we care for.
