Clark in Bloom

Clark residents, families, and staff enjoy taking a stroll in the rose garden, gazing at the beautiful blooms in varying colors.

The Clark rose garden was established by a group of dedicated volunteers who wanted to provide a place for family and friends to honor loved ones in a beautiful and inspirational setting. Throughout the years, staff, residents, and community volunteers worked diligently to care for the rose garden.

Clark rose garden In 2017, the Clark Foundation created a program to keep the garden thriving while supporting the benevolent care needs at Clark.  A $500 donation to the Clark Foundation’s Rose Garden includes your choice of rose, a gift to the benevolent care fund, and a donation to help pay for garden maintenance and upkeep.

Lorin Baum, owner of Folklore Botanicals manages the rose garden. Lorin’s extensive knowledge on roses, personal attention, and care have helped maintain a flourishing and healthy garden.

If you are interested in purchasing a rose to honor a loved one and support benevolent care, please contact Jamie Tietz in the Foundation office at 616-278-6533 or Jamie.tietz@clarkretirement.org. The deadline to order a rose for Spring 2023 is January 31, 2023.
