Job Description

Clark Retirement is seeking a Director of Resident Services RN/LPN to join our dynamic team at our Assisted Living, Clark at Keller Lake campus.  Clark at Keller Lake provides a continuum of care including assisted living and memory care support.  As the Director of Resident Services RN/LPN, you will supervise and oversee the assisted living area while maintaining exceptional service, regulatory compliance and effective staff leadership.  You will work collaboratively with community leaders and operations leadership.  You will use your clinical expertise to enhance clinical services and mentor clinical staff to achieve exceptional resident satisfaction.

This is a full-time position, primarily working days.  You will participate in on-call requirements and nurse coverage when required.

The position requires five or more years of geriatric nursing experience, demonstrated effective leadership, communication and presentation skills, current State of Michigan Nursing license, and knowledge of related Federal and State nursing regulations.  This position requires the ability to problem solve and set goals with resident focused care.

Preferred prior experience in a continuum including Assisted Living/Memory Support care venue management.  A passion for working with older adults.


Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise and support to Nurse Managers, Nurse Supervisors, Care Partners, Lead Care Partners, and other ancillary staff
  • Responsible for the successful implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures
  • Offer hands-on training and development for staff
  • Support the implementation of health care services, policies and procedures in collaboration with community leaders
  • Promote problem solving for meeting resident needs and utilizing community resources and support systems
  • Provide guidance and clinical recommendations to Executive Director for short term and long term planning
  • Participate in hiring, training, and mentoring caregivers and clinical staff
  • Analyze and manages resident care plans in collaboration with Physicians, residents, and families
